INGREDIENTS
1.25 dcl freshly squeezed blackcurrant juice
3.75 dcl water
50g good-quality honey (or 75g ground erythritol)
1 tablespoon currant liqueur (optional)
fresh or frozen black currants (for garnish)
PREPARATION
- Pour the juice, water, sweetener and liqueur into a deep plate, mix well and place in the freezer for 2 hours.
- When the juice starts to freeze, scrape it with a fork to get tiny crystals. Place the plate back in the freezer for one hour. After one hour, scrape again and freeze for another hour.
- After one hour, scrape again, transfer to glasses, garnish with currants and serve immediately.
NOTES
– Granita can also be prepared from 6 dcl of purchased 25% juice for a faster and easier version.
